Matplotlib: Tips, tricks, and common pitfalls

Almost everyone in astronomy uses matplotlib for data visualization in one way or another. The aim of this session is to be an overview of various tricks, pitfalls, and best practices to enhance the usage of our favourite data visualization package! This is can be especially important when there is typically no formal training for matplotlib for practicing astronomers. We hope that this session can help cover any holes that participants might have. The session aims to cover topics such as the concept of dpi (its effect and how people misuse it), colour friendliness, tips for consistent plotting practices, etc..
