📜 Bio

Hi! I'm Jeong Yun (Joy), a PhD student studying asteroseismology - the analysis and interpretation of the oscillations within stars, uncovering insights into their inner structure. My research focuses on exploring complex oscillation spectra of asteroseismic binaries, which typically comsist of solar-type stars and/or red giants. I am working at Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies in Germany where I have been since November 2022. Before this, I studied the ages of globular clusters during my master's in South Korea.

🎯 Goals

I would like to exchange scientific ideas and methodologies by networking with other PhD students and share strategies for maintaining mental health and well-being amidst academic pressures. I have some ideas for the program such as time management during PhD, sharing data analysis techniques, coding skills, and software tools relevant to astrophysical research. I am looking forward to see interactive sessions where participants share personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs in their current academic journey, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
